Terms of Use
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These terms apply to the PocketSheets app and website, provided by Andrew Tanchuk. By using PocketSheets, you agree to these terms.
App license
The iPhone app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These terms explain the PocketSheets service and website and supplement that license; they do not replace it.
Using PocketSheets
PocketSheets lets you browse selected Google spreadsheets and, where you have editing permission, edit cells and add, delete, or reorder rows. You need a Google account and permission to access the spreadsheets you select. Use the app lawfully and only access, change, or share data you are authorized to use.
Your files
You retain ownership of your data. Connecting a sheet gives the app permission to access it as explained in the Privacy Policy. Edits and row changes are sent to the original spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Deleting a record deletes its entire row, including cells the app does not display. Reordering records moves entire rows. These changes may affect collaborators.
The app can add hidden row and column identifiers when you open an editable record to help track subsequent changes. Removing a sheet from the app or disconnecting does not remove these identifiers or undo changes already received by Google.
Synchronization and backups
Saved field edits may sync later when you are connected and the app is running or reopened. Sync does not continue while the app is force-quit. Interrupted requests or changes made by collaborators can require your review, and conflict checks cannot prevent every simultaneous change. Check sync status and the original spreadsheet before relying on a change.
Keep backups of important spreadsheets. PocketSheets is not a backup service, and its local cache may be incomplete or out of date. Check which records are affected before editing, deleting, or moving rows. Text you have not submitted with Save may be lost when you close or restart the app.
Availability and accuracy
PocketSheets depends on Google’s services and your internet connection. Saved data can be out of date until refreshed, and some spreadsheet layouts may not display as expected. Check the original spreadsheet when accuracy is important. Features and availability may change.
Ending use
You can stop using PocketSheets at any time. Disconnect your account in Settings to clear locally saved sheets and pending changes, and remove PocketSheets from your Google Account connections to revoke its access. Removing a sheet from the app does not delete the original file. Clearing local data does not undo changes already received by Google.
Third-party services
Your use of Google and Apple services remains subject to their respective terms. PocketSheets is an independent product and is not endorsed by Google or Apple.
